Then welcome to Te Kāika, Otago Peninsula.

We are a small family run accommodation business situated on the low rise overlooking the Otago Harbour. We are 2.5km from the village of Portobello.
We have two units and a Crib. The units are great for families.

• Kōkōmuka sleeps 4 and is very spacious.
• Hereweka sleeps 5 and is the largest of our units.
• Our Crib sleeps 4 and is fantastic for a couple.

We have 8 acres of land where we graze sheep and also run some chickens and we encourage people staying to feed our animals. This is an ideal place to bring your family.
We have a fantastic barbeque area and great spots for families to get out and enjoy the environment.

• Te Kaika is situated on our property first settled by the Geary family in the 1840’s
• We are 25mins from Dunedin and just 2.5km past Portobello
• We are 10 minutes from the Albatross Colony and Yellow Eyed Penguins
• The Otago Peninsula boasts beautiful scenery, secluded beaches, volcanic land forms, tidal inlets and rugged hills
• It is a great place for walking, tramping, fishing, visiting wildlife or just relaxing

Kokomuka and Hereweka have:

• 2 bedrooms – 1 queen and 1 twin
  (Hereweka has another king single off the living area which is very large)
• A spacious living area
• Freeview TV In all units
• Picnic gear
• Board games and toys for toddlers
• Kitchenette equipped with element cookers, microwave, dishes and cutlery
  (no oven)
• And Hereweka also has a DVD player and DVDs to watch

• Gas BBQ area available
• Large private bathroom with bath, toilet and shower
• Automatic washing machine, clothes line, iron and access to a dryer

• Large deck with natural surroundings and harbour views

Tariff:

NZ$145 single/double, NZ$25 each extra adult,
NZ$15 each extra child

Off peak rates may apply in the winter month

Tariff covers GST and includes breakfast provisions left in your room for you to prepare at your leisure: cereals, spreads, milk, eggs, bread, milo, tea and coffee and sugar

Book in time is 2pm and book out time is 10am.

We do not provide internet facilities and the nearest internet cafe at this time is in Dunedin town,
30 minutes from Te Kāika.

We are open all year.
